Director of Dispute Resolution We are currently recruiting for a Director of Dispute Resolution to join a WA government body, on a full-time basis.About The Role: This role is responsible for leading and managing the Dispute Resolution team, managing a team of 6 staff.
The team works closely with both consumers and lawyers to resolve disputes professionally, efficiently, and in alignment with legal standards, industry best practices, and the Board's policies and procedures.
Additionally, this position will occasionally oversee more complex and sensitive matters.Duties: Lead the Dispute Resolution function, ensuring alignment with strategic, statutory, and regulatory requirements Manage and develop a high-performing team, prioritising workloads, assessing risk, and overseeing escalated matters Handle complex and sensitive cases, providing expert guidance on investigations and dispute resolution Oversee the assessment and resolution of consumer, suitability, and disciplinary matters, including cost disputes, mediations, and conciliations Drive the development of case plans and deliver critical risk initiatives on time Provide subject-matter expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and best practices Your Experience: Your experience in dispute and complaint management within a regulatory environment will be crucial in driving fair and effective resolutions using ADR techniques Using your knowledge as a nationally accredited mediator (NMAS), you'll facilitate complex mediations and guide best practices in dispute resolution Bringing with you your deep understanding of the state's legal system, including natural justice and administrative law principles, you'll confidently interpret and apply legislation and policies What is in it for you?
