Opportunity to be at the forefront in delivering a cutting-edge new model of health care - the first of its type in Australia. You will be part of a team in an environment based in Western Australia to assist in transforming the delivery of large-scale health and wellness service.
The role of the Mental Health Nurse will play a crucial part in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and key project stakeholders to establish a Mental Health Framework for patients in a health centre environment. The stand up of this service will require Mental Health SME input into all aspects of developing a Primary Health Mental health service including but not limited to eMRS workflows, training and education, policies and procedures, and clinical treatment pathways.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Act as a key liaison between the clinical team and the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team for the development and enhancement of the electronic Medical Record System (eMRS).
* Collaborate with clinical leadership, psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to develop evidence-based clinical pathways and guidelines for the treatment and management of common mental health conditions with the client.
* Provide training and education sessions to staff members within the centre on topics related to mental health awareness, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care, and other relevant subjects.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Nursing with post-graduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing
* Current unconditional AHPRA registration
* Min 5 years of clinical experience working in Mental health preferably in a forensic setting
Experience:
* Strong understanding of mental health assessment tools, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
* Experience with electronic medical record systems, preferably in a healthcare setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Demonstrated ability to write clinical policies and procedures.
