About the Role As Head of Design, you will set the creative vision, leading a talented team to drive innovation and ensure Hommey remains at the forefront of the homewares industry. This pivotal role will define our aesthetic direction, spearhead product innovation, and ensure brand consistency while leading and inspiring our Design & Production team. With a proven track record in a head-of or lead design role, you will translate market insights into commercially successful collections that embody Hommey’s unique style and resonate with our customers. Responsibilities Define and drive the creative strategy, leading the development of seasonal product collections Conduct comprehensive trend research to inspire innovative design concepts Create and refine seasonal colour palettes and design elements that align with brand identity Develop and oversee prototypes, ensuring exceptional quality and brand standards Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and merchandising teams Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing design team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration Explore sustainable materials and innovative design techniques Ensure a cohesive brand narrative by guiding creative storytelling across product, packaging, and marketing touchpoints About You Extensive experience in product design, ideally within homewares or related industries, with 5 years in a Head of Design or equivalent leadership role Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in material selection and trend forecasting, and innovative design Deep knowledge of design principles and consumer-driven aesthetics Experience collaborating with manufacturers to bring design visions to life International design experience or exposure to global design trends is highly desirable Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with a history of building and guiding high-performing teams Ability to balance creativity with commercial considerations Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts Why Join Hommey?
