We are seeking a dedicated and experienced chef with a passion for creating exceptional food. As a full-time Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative dishes that delight our customers and uphold the high standards of our establishment.
About the Role:
In this role, you will be doing daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistently high-quality food presentation and taste. As a chef, you'll be instrumental in managing kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Your responsibilities will also include inventory management, training, and mentoring kitchen team members to foster a positive, collaborative work environment. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, and enthusiastic leader eager to deliver a memorable dining experience to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and cooking a variety of menu items to the highest standards.
2. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
3. Ensuring efficient and timely meal preparation and service.
4. Supporting daily kitchen operations and ensuring top-quality food preparation and presentation.
5. Assisting the team in delegating tasks and overseeing kitchen staff to meet service demands.
6. Inspecting and managing deliveries to ensure product quality, accuracy, and proper storage.
7. Adhering to established cleaning protocols to maintain a safe, hygienic kitchen.
8. Collaborating with front-line staff to accommodate service times, dietary needs, and special requests.
Why You Should Apply:
We are looking for someone who has:
1. At least 2 years of experience as a Chef.
2. AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality Management (preferred).
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills with an enthusiastic approach.
4. A current Food Safety Supervisor certification.
5. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
6. Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
