Occupational Therapist – Final Year Bursary Position
Fixed term full time contract (12 Months)
80 hours per fortnight (with monthly ADO)
Grampians Health Horsham currently has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Grade One Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dedicated team in early 2025. This role is part of our rotational program providing an opportunity to work in many programs, including acute, inpatient rehabilitation, community rehabilitation and community programs. Clinical specialties and streams include orthopaedics, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, general medicine, surgical and paediatrics.
You will be supported by a diverse, cross-campus team including senior Occupational Therapists, experienced clinical supervisors and a dedicated OT Junior Workforce Manager. We offer a highly supportive, and friendly team, with regular supervision, a fortnightly peer learning program for the Grade One OT team, and tailored career development pathways.
The Grampians Health OT Department is a compassionate and collaborative team with a positive workplace culture. Bursary Agreement and Eligibility
We are offering a bursary agreement to an Occupational Therapy student who is in their final year of studies. The bursary agreement provides financial support up to $3,500 to reimburse for costs associated with study (e.g., course fees, laptop, textbooks, etc). The successful bursary position will be awarded a 1 year contract full time position at Grampians Health – Horsham, as a Grade 1 Occupational Therapist commencing in January 2025. At the completion of the 1 year fixed term position, ongoing permanent positions may be available.
Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:
* Enrolled in the final year of an accredited Occupational Therapy degree.
* A demonstrated interest in rural public health.
* Prepared to commit to at least 12 months service at Grampians Health – Horsham following the completion of qualifications.
Successful applicants will be eligible to apply for the Department of Health Occupational Therapy Student Grants Program. Grants are available to the value of $15,000 to support graduates to move, settle and integrate into rural and regional communities.
