Replicated is a Commercial Software Distribution Platform. Replicated helps software vendors distribute their applications into self-hosted environments like VPC, on-prem, air gap, and more. With a suite of tools ranging from installation, to testing, to licensing and support, Replicated is the best way to operationalize and scale the distribution of Kubernetes applications into any enterprise environment. Our customers include KNIME, Puppet, Smartbear, BigID, Swimlane, and many other fast-growing enterprise software vendors. Replicated is committed to cultivating an efficient, respectful workplace. We know that innovation thrives on teams where diverse points of view come together to solve hard problems in ways that are just now possible. As such, we explicitly seek people that bring diverse life experiences, diverse educational backgrounds, diverse cultures, and diverse work experiences. We are fully remote and plan to stay that way! We're open to any state in the US. In addition, for some roles, we're open to candidates in Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. We empower our Product teams to solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. Our product teams are cross-functional and durable, where Product and Engineering all come together as peers in pursuit of better business and customer outcomes. Our Product Managers are accountable for ensuring our products and related solutions delivered are both valuable and viable. That means that in addition to deeply understanding our business, our Product Managers must also contribute a strong understanding of our users, mainly software developers and enterprise IT admins; how they work and how they interact with our products. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for helping to embed Inspired Product Thinking throughout the organization, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data, and a deep knowledge of our customer needs, business objectives, and larger market/industry to actively drive forward meaningful and differentiating improvements to our product experience. This Senior Product Manager role will work with our actively growing Compatibility Matrix team. Compatibility Matrix is an emergent product for Replicated. It allows our customers to easily spin up clusters and vms to enable application testing across a variety of distribution types as well as to easily recreate end-customer representative environments during support escalations. Compatibility Matrix has seen initial success as both a standalone product, used by companies such as Buoyant (Linkerd) and Flux OSS, and as a key part of the larger Replicated Platform offering. In this role, you'll own and drive the strategy for investments to help grow this young product, helping us achieve our larger product vision, and directly impacting one of our most critical and growing areas of the platform. This is an exciting opportunity on a product that is essentially a startup product within a larger startup, and our ideal candidate is someone who has both experience working at this product lifecycle stage and experience scaling up a team as growth is gained. As a Senior Product Manager for this growing team, you'll be responsible for determining and driving outcomes such as: Growing usage of the product - Both increasing the number of customers engaging with the product, and in increasing usage/spend of current product users. Identifying and addressing any product positioning and/or adoption friction based on customer/prospect feedback and larger market analysis. Exploring demand/opportunities for additional product use cases beyond the current testing use case focus. Product Manager Vision for Success: You demonstrate a strong Inspired Product thinking mindset and show ownership in driving meaningful and differentiating improvements to both our product user experience and our larger Product/Engineering organization and processes. From both hands-on product experience and speaking to our customers, field and support teams, as well as digging deep into available user data, you deeply learn the current product experience as well as our customers, their personas and jobs-to-be-done, allowing you to assume ownership for further evolving and executing the product strategy for your problem space domain within the context of our larger product and business goals, ensuring our products best meet the needs of our customers and the larger Replicated business. You demonstrate the ability to work with your team leadership peers to successfully balance various product/engineering execution needs, ensuring we continually make progress against strategic goals, while balancing the considerations of customer requests and product/technical debt. You drive team conversations around the evaluation of time-cost vs benefit assessment for a given action, feature, or prioritization decision, ensuring development costs don't exceed the expected value benefit. In collaboration with the larger Product Management org, you help to drive continued maturity growth into our product/engineering processes, helping us continue to improve our ability to quickly feed key customer insights and learnings back to the teams and the larger company. You are comfortable moving in a fast-paced startup environment (Series A mentality), where we embrace flexibility and the ability to execute quickly based on experiments and learnings. The Value You Bring to the Role: Experience taking a new or early lifecycle customer-facing product to maturity, driving usage and revenue growth. Successful candidates have prior experience building products in the enterprise software domain space. 5+ years of varied Product Management experience in more than one organization, including relevant experience building developer enablement products and/or enterprise enabling Cloud or Dev/Ops products. Technical background, or prior demonstrated ability to lead product-engineering teams working on highly technical product offerings. Industry experience with Kubernetes or containerization technologies, cloud platforms. Experience working in lean-startup and Inspired types of product methodologies (short 1w product iteration cycles; rapid value validation via customer input, prototype experimentation, and fast iterative product releases). Passion for, and experience in, products that help improve the lives of developers and/or infrastructure operators, and the curiosity to dig deep and learn more about this ecosystem. Proven history of curiosity, tenacity & making an impact. Track record of strong customer engagement, bringing these insights back into the team to determine the best and simplest solution. Track record of defining and leveraging customer data to inform strategic goals and execution success assessments. Bonus Points: Prior experience defining team scaling strategies as product growth is gained. Prior experience in early stage start-ups, such as Series A/B or earlier. Industry experience with on-premise delivery models. Prior infrastructure as a product experience, such an internal development enablement platform product. Your first 30/60/90 Days: In your first 30 Days Your goal in the first 30 days is to learn as much as you can about the company, team and product. You will complete hands-on training with the product, complete the onboarding checklist and meet with team members from across the company. You will spend time with the team understanding their work and current initiatives. You will work with your manager to go over your own career growth framework and deeper review of the Product Manager role and responsibilities. Improve the onboarding process as you notice rough edges, bringing your fresh perspectives to identify areas where we can do better. We value learning and growth and this is a great time to outline where you may need to prioritize your learning time. Your manager will support you to make sure you have time for this during the week. We have 1 day a week set aside as a focus day. This is an important day where everyone in the product and engineering joint org is encouraged to prioritize their focus time. You can start to lead the weekly planning and daily standups for your team (you will transition from ceremony observer to leader over the course of the month as you gain more context). In your first 60 Days Continue to grow your understanding of Replicated - how our products are developed, building relationships with individuals, how our services connect and interact. You will focus on further expanding your product knowledge beyond your immediate product responsibility areas to the broader Replicated platform, including a combination of hands-on product usage and learning from other product-engineering and customer facing teams. You can begin to take point on leading customer and prospect conversations in your product domain space, pulling in support from your team and manager as needed. Now that you have a baseline of knowledge, it's time to outline key projects that the team will take on and work on plans for how to break them down into iterative deliverables. In your first 90 Days With context in mind, you now have full ownership of your pod along with your peer team leaders (Engineering Manager, Technical Lead). Own your team deliverables toward the pod's key strategic objectives, and actively participate in and begin to assume more ownership in defining the ongoing strategy and path to delivering highly valuable, and viable, product solutions. Continue to learn and grow. Replicated is committed to ongoing individual growth and there will always be opportunities that require it. We have a yearly curiosity budget to support your learning and growth. Pay transparency At Replicated, we value our teammates as individuals who are stronger together.
