About your role: Implement and monitor the organisation's quality standards, work health and safety policies, procedures and programs and provide clinical governance in the relevant work area. Learn to maintain and update knowledge of policies, procedures and trends relating to the provision of dental assisting including medico-legal responsibilities, ethical practice, codes of practice and relevant standards. Learn dentistry, retraction and evacuation techniques and application of rubber dam. Monitoring of, and learn assisting the operator in, management of patient well-being and anxiety level and an awareness of medical conditions. Contribute to health promotion activities. Learn to prepare equipment, instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures.
