PERSOLKELLY is one of the largest workforce solutions providers in the Asia-Pacific region. Our client, an Australian food and agri-business company operating in Echuca has an opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to lead join their team. Key Responsibilities include:
Oversee the maintenance and operation of food processing machinery, conveyor systems, refrigeration and cooling systems, cleaning equipment, material handling equipment, and building maintenance machinery.
Supervise external contractors and internal trades to ensure all work is conducted safely and meets our high standards.
Efficiently develop and execute maintenance plans to enhance operational efficiency.
Prioritise and implement preventive maintenance strategies to minimise equipment breakdowns and downtime.
Promote a culture of safety in all maintenance activities and actively engage in safety initiatives.
Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies that ensure asset safety and operational efficiency while adhering to critical maintenance and shutdown requirements.
Ensure strict adherence to company standards for maintenance, safety, and procurement processes.
Provide direct oversight of on-site maintenance activities and minor projects, including those performed by external contractors.
Coordinate the timely procurement of necessary components to avoid maintenance delays.
Experience required:
Proven experience in maintenance management within a food processing or similar industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Ability to effectively manage contractors and external resources.
