NRM South's Finance Manager is a senior management role responsible for leading and directing all aspects of its financial operations.
The Finance Manager operates across all aspects of the NRM South business, and will contribute to strategy and direction setting, the identification and implementation of growth pathways, and operational business and improvement.
The role reports to and works closely with the CEO to provide the Leadership Team, Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee, the Board, Auditors, program teams and other employees and key stakeholders with robust financial management. The Finance Manager will utilise their extensive expertise and understanding of financial management, underpinned by excellent communication skills, to actively contribute to strategy and direction setting. Responsibilities will encompass guiding the identification and execution of growth and change strategies, streamlining operational business processes and improvements, and ensuring robust financial governance.
Operating within a dynamic project management environment, the position will oversee a range of financial management services, ranging from budget planning to payroll management, facilitating the organisation's financial health and operating efficiency. Additionally, the position will play a crucial role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of the operational Finance Officer, fostering a collaborative and effective finance team.
You'll be working in a small team with people who share your values to protect Tasmania's natural environment. We offer a salary of $119,995-131,793 per year, excluding superannuation. The FTE load is flexible from 1-4 days/week and you will be working alongside a Finance Officer who undertakes most of the accounting and processing work for the organisation.
