HMP Stocken consists of 1285 adult males.The Pharmacy at HMP Stocken is not a dispensary pharmacy; there are 6 dispensary hatches within medication/administration points. You will:Ensure patient medical records are maintained to the agreed standard at all times and ensure standard operating procedures are followed to a high and orderly standard.Ensure timely administration of medicines through to analysing cost-effective prescribing as defined through our unique health in justice medicines policy.Work together to make a difference to all the people we support, and make Practice Plus Group a place where each of us feels appreciated, challenged and supported to do our best work - fulfilling the lives of others.Communicate complex or sensitive information whilst demonstrating empathy and understanding to patients.Share information relating to pharmaceutical products, medicines optimisation, drug regimes, medicines legislation and general health education so that the multidisciplinary healthcare team are appropriately informed.What we'll look for in youYou will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).You will also have relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team.Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures.Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
