**Armament Engineer Role Overview**
The role of Armament Engineer is a critical position in support of a major aerospace project within defence.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Amberley, QLD, and requires the candidate to be an Australian citizen with a minimum of NV1 security clearance.
* Provide Subject Matter Expertise on Armament Engineering to Project Managers and engineers.
* Review and update engineering plans, reports, trial/test plans for weapons integration and test activities.
* Coordinate provision of weapons and other associated software, technical data, and equipment required for the weapons integration into the platform.
* Liaise with contractors, CoA, and CASG for specialist tasking to support project objectives.
* Conduct ground and flight trial activities to identify and manage any risks or issues that may arise.
* Coordinate related technical documentation to support project delivery.
Requirements:
* Formal Qualifications in Armament Engineering or related disciplines.
* A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar field.
* Awareness of the CASG engineering processes.
* Familiarity with current RAAF weapons inventory, management framework and users.
* Excellent relationship management skills.
