Mt Wilga Private Hospital, HornsbyPart Time RoleThe OpportunityAs a Ward Clerk, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to patients and their families within our Rehabilitation Ward. You must be passionate about being on the front line dealing with the general public, our patients, and staff. You must also enjoy a varied and fast-paced administration role. The successful applicant would need to be flexible and have strong interpersonal and time management skills.Key responsibilities of this job include:Admission and discharge processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation.Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the ward.Providing timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors, and other staff and departments.Working alongside medical staff, colleagues, patients, and visitors to ensure a smooth hospital experience for patients.Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes.Skills And ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you will be an effective and approachable administrative professional with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values.You will also demonstrate:2 – 3 years’ experience in an administration hospital-based role is desirable.Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus.Intermediate-advanced skills utilising the Microsoft Office suite with the ability to maintain data entry accuracy.High level time management and organisational skills.Certificate in Medical terminology highly regarded.A professional and personable disposition.Ability to work within a team environment and multitask.Willingness to learn and the ability to grasp concepts with ease.Previous experience in a ward-based role is desirable.Previous experience using Patient Information Systems (i.e., Meditech).Previous experience using hospital mainframe systems (desirable).What’s in it for you?Professional Advancement: Recognition, Rewards, Professional Development, and Employee referral programs.
