About the Role
This is a continuing, part-time (0.5 FTE - 36.25 hours per fortnight) opportunity to teach in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences at CQUniversity Cairns.
The role involves teaching students enrolled in the Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills to deliver culturally responsive and community-centred healthcare.
You will guide students through a diverse range of subjects, including primary health care practice, health promotion, chronic disease management, and essential clinical skills such as wound care, infection control, and first aid.
Your expertise will help students develop a deep cultural understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health perspectives, strengthening their ability to engage with communities and deliver holistic, patient-focused care.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach students enrolled in the Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice
* Develop and deliver culturally responsive and community-centred healthcare curriculum

Requirements
* Possession of relevant qualifications in Primary Health (Certificate III or higher)
* A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
* Demonstrated current industry skills directly relevant to the training/assessment being delivered, with demonstrated knowledge of culturally safe and community-centred healthcare practices
* Ability to create inclusive and engaging learning environments that support diverse learners
