About the role An opportunity has arisen for a strong technical all-round Group Financial Controller to join a well-established organisation who are going through a period of change and development. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Taking a hands-on approach, this role will see you lead a small team, providing supporting, coaching, and mentoring to deliver best practice. You will take full responsibility for delivering all internal and external reporting with a focus on working closely with the Commercial side of the business and stakeholder management. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The responsibilities The main duties include: Take ownership of all financial reporting and analysis Preparation of monthly management reporting packs Leading the Annual Budgeting process from end to end Preparation of half year and full year financial statement and investor presentation ASX and compliance reporting including IFRS and AASB standards Management and preparation of direct and indirect taxes Cash flow template set up and management Carriage of central corporate overheads in conjunction with support service owners. Stakeholder management Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations Developing financial reviews and providing investment advice Working closely with management or executive teams on analysis and improvement plans. Well-developed leadership skills Mentoring of staff & peer group The successful applicant will have: CA/CPA qualified Prior experience in financial reporting or audit roles, preferably within a large corporate or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of IFRS, AASB, and corporate accounting principles. Experience with financial consolidation in a multi-entity organization. Proficiency in financial reporting systems (i.e. Essbase, Hyperion, OneStream etc.) and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
