We are a K-10 school, where our small team of committed, professional teachers and teacher aides work together with parents and Community members to empower our students to be self-directed learners, who are proud of their Culture, Language and connection to Country and to provide them skills to thrive in a 21st Century world.
As the Head of Department, Student Services, you will play a key role in driving improved student outcomes, by implementing key initiatives that are informed by data and supported by Community voice. You will have a keen interest in the wellbeing of the whole child and adopt a case management approach to ensure all of our students experience success at school.
About The Role
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Support implementation of PBL Tier 1 supports across the school
* Liaise with the student services team (HoSES, GO, DPs) to effectively case manage students requiring additional academic, behavioural or wellbeing supports
* Analyse relevant data to identify problems of practice and collaborate to design and implement solutions.
* Build teachers' capability to create safe and supportive learning environments through coaching, mentoring and delivering professional development opportunities.
* Other responsibilities as defined in the attached role description.
