About the Role
This position requires a proactive individual who can identify hazards and implement control measures while ensuring safety protocols are followed across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and assess safety hazards on-site
* Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures
* Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
* Report and investigate safety incidents and accidents
* Provide safety training and guidance to workers
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
* Maintain safety documentation and records
* Coordinate emergency response plans and drills
Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
* Experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation
* Ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures
* Proficiency in safety management tools and software
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
* Experience conducting safety training
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., Certificate IV in WHS)
* Essential experience in the construction industry
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
