Participant Support Officer - APS3 Level - NDIA
Location: Gosford, Port Macquarie & Tamworth
Hourly Rate: $37.36 + super
Contract Length: 12 months (Starting January 20th, 2025)
An exciting opportunity to join a respected, community-focused Federal Government agency! This entry-level position provides a valuable pathway into the public sector, where you’ll support Australians with complex needs in a rewarding administrative role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide front-line reception support, helping participants with enquiries and self-service kiosks
* Respond to customer inquiries, offer relevant information, and refer to government or community services as needed
* Manage shared team email inbox, appointments, and telephone enquiries
* Coordinate and facilitate appointments using agency facilities, ensuring accessibility for all participants
* Perform data entry and follow-up tasks to maintain accurate records
What We’re Looking For:
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Intermediate administration skills with willingness to learn and further develop your skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and a readiness to learn new systems.
* Desirable: Experience (professional or lived) with disabilities
Additional Details:
* Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
* Start Date: Monday, January 20th, 2025
* Work Location: Office-based (no remote work option)
* Eligibility: Australian Citizenship required
