You will be responsible for : Leading initiatives to enhance and optimise plant processes, focusing on improving safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance Identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements to achieve production targets and reduce operational costs Collaborating with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement projects aligned with MMO's strategic objectives Analysing plant performance data to identify trends and opportunities for process enhancements Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement About You This role would suit a technically competent and driven production specialist ideally looking for a new challenge in our multifaceted processing plant.
You will also have: A tertiary qualification in Industrial Engineering and Management, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Metallurgy, or Mechanical engineering Significant experience in a similar role leading a team in a metallurgical plant, and being accountable to improve quality, safety, environmental, performance, and budgeting A strong drive in the area of continuous improvement with demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills A deep understanding of relevant regulations and best practices, including Permit to Work, High Risk Work, and Risk Assessment tools Proven experience commissioning and ramping up metallurgical operations Experience in HPAL and RKEF technologies, experience in running utilities such as power generation, boilers, acid plans, refinery, etc.
