We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Accountant to play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will ensure compliance with indirect tax obligations, manage lease accounting under AASB 16, and contribute to statutory reporting.
Your analytical skills will help drive financial accuracy and continuous improvement across the business.This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills and offers a strong foundation in financial processes, with opportunities for growth and progression.What You Will Do:Ensure compliance with withholding tax and other indirect tax requirements.Assist with the preparation of Australian Activity Statements and FBT returns.Manage company leases (Lease Accounting (AASB 16) using Innosys software).Ensure accurate entry and reconciliation of leases in SAP.Maintain integrity of balance sheet accounts.Prepare general ledger reconciliations and analyses.Identify and resolve balance sheet discrepancies.Process general ledger journals and support cross-functional teams.Assist in preparing financial statements for Australia and New Zealand.Support external and internal audit processes.Drive efficiency improvements in financial processes.Provide backup support to other finance team members.Undertake ad hoc financial reporting and projects.Who You Are:You are a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
You take ownership of your work and seek opportunities to improve processes while ensuring financial accuracy.
You will bring:A Commerce or Accounting degree and ASA membership of CA or CPA.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.Demonstrated experience in accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.The ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.A proactive mindset with a keen interest in continuous learning and process improvements.Nice to Have: Experience with BAS preparation and balance sheet reconciliations, along with familiarity with SAP and SAP BI, would be an advantage.What We Can Offer You:Our purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-Being, provides meaning to everything we do.
