ResponsibilitiesThe IT Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, implementation, and management of all information and communication technology (ICT) systems within Berwick College. This role ensures that the school's ICT infrastructure supports educational objectives and administrative operations effectively and securely.
ICT Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement the school's ICT strategy in alignment with educational goals and administrative needs.Stay informed about emerging technologies and assess their potential application within the school environment.Lead the school's migration process to the Microsoft Office suite including the design and communication of information storage systems.Together with the Principal Team, build the capacity of teachers to effectively use ICT to enhance student learning.Network and Systems Management:Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of the school's network infrastructure, servers, and associated systems.Ensure reliable operation of all ICT systems, including hardware, software, and network components.Technical Support and Training:Provide high-level technical support to staff and students, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.Develop and deliver training programs to enhance ICT proficiency among staff and students.Policy Development and Compliance:Develop, implement, and enforce ICT policies and procedures to ensure data security, network integrity, and compliance with relevant legislation.Ensure adherence to the Department of Education's policies and guidelines, including the Child Safe Standards.Budget and Resource Management:Manage the ICT budget, including procurement of hardware, software, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with the school's strategic priorities.Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to maintain and enhance ICT services.Supervise and support ICT support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.Coordinate the work of computer maintenance technicians and other ICT personnel within the college.Who May ApplyIndividuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
