We’re dedicated to providing you with career opportunities through work that is rewarding and meaningful within the community.The Addiction Services program area is a large multidisciplinary team consisting of Alcohol and other Drug (AOD) treatment services and a range of counselling services including Gamblers Help Financial Counselling and Gamblers Help Therapeutic Counselling.The AOD suite of treatment services consists of Comprehensive Assessment, Counselling, Care & Recovery Coordination, Day Rehabilitation, Non-Residential Withdrawal Nurses, Pharmacotherapy, Harm Reduction and Overdose Prevention workers.Reporting to the Team Leader Adult AOD - Latrobe, the AOD Counsellor is part of the AOD treatment suite working to support a multidisciplinary approach to AOD and Mental Health care. The incumbent is responsible for providing a range of AOD evidence-based interventions, with the aim to support positive behavioural change in AOD clients through face-to-face, Video Conferencing and telephone counselling channels, as well as group delivery both face-to-face and online.
