The Business Development Manager - Industry Applications is a key customer-focused role within the business, which will be responsible for maximizing sales volume and margin in the region through growth in defined markets, applications, territories, and channels footprints as well as developing and managing of channel strategies and expansion to reach current served and new markets.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Liaising and execution with all relevant stakeholders to achieve overall region business revenue and margin expectations. Given the market share opportunities, the general expectation is to generate a sustainable strategy in order to unlock double digit year on year growth.
2. Geographical focus will be expanding businesses in Tier I and Tier II channel partners.
3. Participation and execution of Country Business plan with clear specifics on strategies and tactics implementations. These may be represented in the following manners: Yearly country plan consistent to the overall NORMA Group strategic business unit vision and yearly Balance Score Card. Credible forecasting and budget of business with clear visibility on pathways of achievements. Opportunities tracking and follow up with the use of customer relationship management tools. Monthly business updates and forecasting.
4. Channel identification, qualification, and development to drive growth expectations. Channel strategies to enable consistent growth while managing variations.
5. Operate through inter department communication and co-ordination in fulfilling enquiry to order and order to fulfilment and shipment cycle.
6. Liaising and coordination with other NORMA Group setups within APAC and beyond with regards to corporate and business development programs.
7. To always conduct oneself in a professional manner consistent to Corporate and Country guidelines and laws.
8. Apart from immediate supervisors, he/she is able to engage NORMA Group product and marketing manager along with peers from other Regions.
9. Able to sustain an effective business dialogue with NORMA Group management, executives of end users and management of channel members to drive commitment and growth for NORMA Group of products.
10. To obtain mindshare of channel members rank and file staff for NORMA Group products and programs.
Profile
11. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Development, preferable in the Mining or New Energy sector.
12. Post-graduate qualification in Sales and Marketing is preferred.
13. Demonstrated commercial analytical experience and strong reporting skills
14. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective Customer working relationships.
15. Able to build, maintain and analyse knowledge of market conditions and trends and customer activities/competitive responses
16. Effective negotiation skills
17. Experience in developing and monitoring sales budgets and targets.
18. Proven knowledge of customer relationship management including assessing customer needs, meeting customer expectations and evaluating customer satisfaction.
19. Strategic focus with hands on approach
20. Experience with eCRM systems
21. Proven track record in negotiating with key stakeholders.
22. Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, and understanding business requirements of senior decision makers.
23. Ability to elicit needs from key decision makers
