What you'll do Reporting to the GM, Practices, the Practice Lead, Design will be responsible for identifying and building future capabilities for Design from both a business and people perspective to foster innovation and champion, guide, improve and scale the craft.
Working with our Domain and Chapter Leaders in an Agile environment, this role will identify and develop the required capabilities and skills for team members within the Practice or capability area.
Foster and mature a market-leading practice and culture, as a centre of excellence, designed to enable the best possible experiences for our team members in W-Digital.
Lead a community of team members across Design (UX, UI, Digital, Service and Product Design), through communities of practice, who are responsible for delivering a global, best-in-class digital customer experience Provide global thought-leadership on the assigned capability, partnering with Domain and Business Unit leaders to deliver on our strategic goals Creation, communication and advocacy of a Practice roadmap with clear OKRs which enables standards, frameworks, tools and best practice ways of working.
Identify strategic opportunities for greater consistency of processes, standards, and tools across Domains and Practices Manage the relationships of key external partners and software providers in line with the UX and UI Practice budget Assist with recruitment and development of high performing team members in partnership with Domain and delivery leadership teams as well as mentor and coach team members within the relevant field of practice.
What you'll bring You will have a demonstrable record of progression throughout your career, having worked in roles of similar complexity, ideally within the retail or complex services or product sector.
You will have experience working within a matrixed/Agile organisation having had success in building and fostering relationships across and down into the business.
You will have deep resource management experience, a background in technology, strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise and problem solve.
As a trusted advisor, you have the ability to influence an organisation with a good appreciation of commercial and strategic context.
