As part of our dynamic security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of staff, patients, and visitors across our facilities. As a Security Officer at Gosford Hospital, you will be responsible for delivering prompt and efficient security services, ensuring the safety and protection of everyone on site. This includes monitoring access to the hospital, responding to security alarms, assisting with emergency situations, and providing support in managing aggressive persons when needed. You will work closely with hospital staff to maintain a secure and calm environment, upholding all relevant policies and procedures. About You You hold a current 1A Security Licence, First Aid Certificate, and unrestricted Driver’s Licence. You have have experience handling access control, intruder alarms, and duress alarms. You are physically capable of managing aggressive persons in a healthcare environment, and can demonstrate strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. You have excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences. Where You’ll Be Working You’ll be based at Gosford Hospital, part of the Central Coast Local Health District, providing security services across a large healthcare facility. You will work alongside a dedicated team, ensuring that all security protocols are adhered to and maintaining the highest standards of safety for staff, patients, and visitors. This is a 24/7 operational role, and flexibility is required to cover shifts across the day, night, and weekends as part of a rotating roster.
