About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Customer Service Roster Clerk to join our team. This role is essential in managing the rostering and payroll functions for Customer Service employees on the Urban Rail Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing weekly operational rosters, adjusting them as needed for absences, operational demands, and special events, and ensuring overtime is distributed according to established procedures. Additionally, you will maintain accurate payroll records and manage leave entitlements for staff.
As part of this role, you will also address human resources inquiries, collaborate with the divisional personnel officer to resolve employee issues, and assist in the review and implementation of employee rosters. You will be involved in general administrative duties and produce standard statistical reports as required.
About You!
To excel in this role, you should possess:
* Extensive experience in preparing timesheets and multi-level staff rosters for large groups, along with the interpretation and application of Industrial Awards and Agreements related to payroll and employee conditions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff and management at all levels.
* Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex issues and improve processes.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, providing accurate work within deadlines. Proficient in computer tasks, including data entry, information extraction, word processing, and spreadsheet management.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
