Business Account Manager, General Nutrition Bring your passion for the agriculture industry and significantly contribute to the growth and stability of this well-known and respected family-owned operation. With sites across regional Victoria, and customers spread across Victoria, South Australia and NSW, we are currently on the search to appoint an experienced Business Manager, Group Nutrition. With the ability to be located across multiple sites in Regional Victoria, or even at head office in Melbourne, you will be responsible for proactively retaining and increasing our existing customer base to drive growth in our ruminant segment. Specifically, this includes sales and account management, advising customers on relevant feed and nutrition programs as well providing in-depth and technical nutritional advice and education to team members and customers. Summary of key accountabilities Creation of a new sales plan (in conjunction with the General Manager Sales) with the ultimate aim of increased sales volume Identification of new business development opportunities, including new markets and leads Engage & communicate with all stakeholders in the business, including between sites & regions Engage in direct customer contact through customer visits, farm walks and pricing discussions Monthly reporting Budgeting & forecasting Provide advice to customers on feed programs Address customer complaints within company guidelines Monitor and co-ordinate feed testing Provide a high level of technical service and advice to customers Attend relevant field days and industry-related events Keep abreast of market trends and conditions and related products Assist in education of internal sales and nutrition staff Take responsibility for learning resources related to products and nutrition Completion of farm safety assessments prior to delivery of product What you will bring to this role: Demonstrated experience with a proven track record in agricultural sales, account management and business development or as a ruminant nutritionist. Solid understanding of the sales cycle and process High energy, enthusiasm and the drive to succeed Exceptional relationship building skills Excellent time management and negotiation skills Willingness to be a part of the broader team Relevant tertiary qualifications in nutrition or agribusiness would be highly regarded Reporting to the General Manager Sales, you will be a strong communicator with proven leadership and organisational skills, who takes pride in supplying your customers with a consistently high standard of trusted product.
