About The Role The Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug (MHAOD) Branch of the Justice Health and Wellbeing Service delivers mental health, alcohol, and other drug healthcare to some of the most vulnerable and high-risk individuals in the State. The MHAOD staff work to improve MHAOD patient outcomes and reduce associated harm and risks as far as possible.
MHAOD services are delivered by multidisciplinary teams made up of highly specialised staff including nurses, consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, Aboriginal mental health workers and prison support officers.
This position will be a key member of the MHAOD leadership group and work closely with MHAOD Nurse Unit Managers and other Clinical staff across the estate.
Eligibility Successful applicants must have current registration, or be eligible for registration, in the category of Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and a relevant post graduate qualification in mental health or addictions and/or extensive clinical experience in addictions and mental health.
To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
