Ccentric is working with the South Western Sydney Local Health District, in the search for a new Chief Radiographer for Liverpool Hospital. Situated in one of the fastest growing regions in Australia and within an education and health precinct, the Hospital is a major health service for south-western Sydney.
As the Chief Radiographer, Liverpool Hospital you will work closely with the Head of Department, Diagnostic Radiology (HOD) on the day-to-day operations of the Department to ensure that it provides timely, efficient, safe, and relevant medical imaging services. The role involves a broad and varied range of accountabilities and activities including clinical, human resource management of non-medical / non nursing staff within the Department, governance and compliance, quality, finance, procurement and the education, training, and professional development of its staff to ensure there is compliance with all relevant mandatory training and professional registrations.
Reporting to the Director Medical Services, you will manage all aspects of medical imaging services ensuring performance, financial and service delivery objectives are achieved, and to positively transform how patients, consumers, staff, and community experience the organisation and its services.

4. Current National Registration with AHPRA, NSW Radiation License and Bachelor in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent. Previous demonstrated clinical knowledge across a broad range of imaging modalities.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and succinct plans, strategies, briefs and reports.
6. Demonstrated experience in providing leadership and people management, including recruitment of staff, mentoring, performance management and developing the capabilities of the imaging team to undertake changing roles and responsibilities.
7. Demonstrated management experience including complaints management, equipment procurement and financial control.
8. Demonstrated knowledge and ability in the use of IT software related to imaging and health management.
9. Demonstrated commitment to personal Continual Professional Development as well as developing the leadership and clinical skills of team members.
10. Demonstrated excellent organisational skills with a capacity to prioritise, multi-task and achieve business goals.
11. Knowledge of and commitment to clinical safety, quality improvement and accreditation systems.
