This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading Within the Digital Strategy Division (DSD) you'll join a division led by the Chief Digital Officer with an exciting transformative remit. The division partners with frontline staff to enable and facilitate digital solutions that augment frontline service delivery and maximise opportunities for efficiencies. It is responsible for the design and development of new and enhanced data and digital capabilities, seeking out innovative digital solutions and building towards the future digital landscape. A Business Analyst, with specialisation in data, is required to work on the Data Capability Platform Project. You will play a pivotal role conducting analysis of business requirements and evolve those requirements for prioritisation, technical design and implementation. Specifically, you will play critical role in the successful delivery of the Eco-System of the Project, a strategic endeavour aimed at redesigning, constructing, and deploying a cutting-edge data platform. The platform will need to allow seamless interoperability and integration across a diverse range of applications. Key Responsibilities of this role: Collaborate with project team and stakeholders to analyse and capture business requirements Develop dataset backlog and prioritisation criteria Identify next high value datasets based on business priority and present for approval at Project Board. Assist in data migration, including data mapping and validation, to ensure smooth transition to the data platform. Build and execute test scripts to enable project to improve data integrity issues across systems. Create use case diagrams, BPMN workflows, and Visio process maps to document data process flows. Collaborative engagement with BAU team and vendors. Assist in the identification, addressing and scheduling of issues, risks and solutions that may impact the successful implementation of the project. Report on a range of possible solutions in relation to the data capability project, relevant to the associated deliverables, and assist with status reports and risk management reports on deliverables to meet business requirements and expectations of the Project Manager. Key accountabilities of this role: The Business Analyst will have the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts across various teams and build positive relationships with key stakeholders. Essential Skills required: Minimum 5 years' experience in a Business Analysis role on data projects (or similar) Demonstrated experience in end-to-end requirements management including documentation utilising tools including BPMN and Visio Demonstrated ability to define business needs and prioritise requirements Demonstrated evidence of stakeholder engagement across data platform projects, fostering collaboration and aligning project objectives with business needs Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business insights Desirable Skills required: Knowledge of data warehousing principles Understanding of Data Management frameworks Degree in Information Technology or similar field. Relevant qualifications or certifications in data analytics, business analysis (CBAP) or related fields Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Python, R, Power BI etc) Key Deliverables of this role: Capture of business requirements.
