Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a diverse team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence.The opportunityWe are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Procurement Specialist to join our diverse E-7 Enterprise team and provide procurement services to both our Australian and international customers. This position is part of a small team that will help the E-7 business unit by creating and managing RFx, purchase orders, ensuring timely deliveries, and resolving any issues or discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of purchasing activities, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment. This position may be located in Brisbane, Amberley, Adelaide or Williamtown.ResponsibilitiesIdentifying prospective suppliersLiaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relationsPrepare and issue request for quotes & purchase ordersMonitoring supplier performance and resolving routine issues and concernsEnsure data integrity and timeliness by entering, extracting, and updating databases for procurement agents, management, and other customersProcess and file documentation and perform other administrative tasks to assist in the efficiency of procurement operationsComplying with company policies and proceduresExperience / Qualifications:The successful applicant will have:Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement requirements within a commercial and defence environment;2 or more years' related experience in inventory planning and/or purchasing roles;Systems knowledge and experience including proficiency with ERP purchasing and demand planning systems to perform purchasing functions and extract historical data;Good working knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed across procurement and contracting and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines (e.g., engineering, logistics and finance);Ability to work with a high level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment;A willingness to work in a team environment; andApplicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirementsCultureWe are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
