What’s the gig?
We are looking for part time and casual Kitchen Hands to join the team. As a Kitchen Hand, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen areas while following safety protocols and processes when using and storing chemicals. You'll work across a variety of outlets at Dreamworld and ensure that kitchen appliances and workspaces are ready for action, upholding our high standards for food preparation.
Other tasks will include (but are not limited to):
1. Use of equipment such as commercial dishwashers to perform daily cleaning duties.
2. Ensuring adequate supply of clean crockery for the food & beverage outlets at all times.
3. Performing surface and deep cleans as scheduled, including floors, kitchen appliances, walls, shelving, benches, and cold storage areas.
4. Emptying rubbish bins and removal of cardboard waste.
5. Monitoring stock rotation and replenishment of stock levels.
What do we need from you?
1. Previous kitchen experience (or similar tasks) with skills in kitchen organization.
2. Self-motivated and reliable with a positive, can-do attitude.
3. Sense of urgency and ability to work quickly and safely.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and late nights.
6. Understanding of HACCP standards and their practical application.
7. Interest and willingness to assist with food preparation on occasion when required.
8. Good physical dexterity for manual handling tasks.
