Compliance Officer
Working within the Regulatory Initiatives team, Compliance Officers undertake compliance projects and facilitate community and customer education to ensure effective, efficient, transparent and accountable compliance and enforcement measures to maintain public confidence in the water management regulatory system.
You will engage with landholders, providing advice and educational material to support improved compliance behaviours and undertake compliance activities to investigate potential breaches of water regulations and legislation while contributing to the continuous improvement of regulatory practice in relation to water resource regulation in NSW.
Ideally, you will have experience in compliance inspections working for a regulatory body or come from an enforcement background.

Field Safety Supervisor
Our Field Safety Supervisor manages and undertakes inspections alongside a team of compliance monitoring staff responsible for field property inspections across regional NSW to determine compliance with water regulations and legislation.
You will have responsibility for building the regulatory capability of the team, scheduling and assigning work/resources, and ensuring that all activities are undertaken safely and in compliance with relevant processes and procedures. You will oversee activities of the team, including timely and accurate investigatory reports, adherence to WHS standards and operational policies and procedures to deliver quality outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will have supervisory experience, preferably in a field based role.
Please note this role will require you to travel during the working week, at times up to two weeks out of four to various sites across NSW to undertake compliance activities, engage and provide high visibility to various stakeholders, and to support your teams. Therefore, a current and valid NSW Drivers Licence is imperative.
Roles may be located in various locations statewide and you will be asked for a preferred location on application.
Essential Requirements for both positions
1. Appointment is subject to the satisfactory participation in mandatory pre-employment probity screening
2. Commitment and willingness to undertake high levels of travel to remote areas and safely undertake field work requirements of the role
3. Current Driver’s Licence.
4. Intra-state travel requiring periods of being away from home
