Your new role
As a Bookkeeper, you will work closely with the Senior Finance team to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports. Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and other requested reports on an accurate and timely basis.
* Prepare accounting entries and reconciliations as specified in the financial statement preparation procedure.
* Respond to all questions and requests for further information on the financial statements on a timely basis.
* Assist with management and cost accounting, including:
* Coordinate the management of inventory stocktakes. Analyse stock-take variances. Enter required adjustments in Business Central
* Assist with the annual budgeting process.
* Enter the budget into Business Central.
* Prepare BAS statements, ensuring they are prepared accurately and are timely lodged with the ATO.
* Prepare ABS reports timely and accurately.
* Assist the Finance & Accounting Manager with accounting tasks as requested.
* Be able to cover the Bookkeeper and Finance & Accounting Manager's duties on a temporary basis.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you will have experience in a similar role, in a fast-paced and busy professional environment. Your experience will include but is not limited to:
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems
