Key responsibilities will include: Support the project team with the analysis and visualisation of key research data. Develop computer code for specific modelling and/or analytical tasks, as required to support the broader project team. Liaise with other researchers and external stakeholders, as required to scope, implement and communicate the research of the project team. Assist the project team leader to support other project and Centre-related research activities as required. Assist with the development of research/analytical protocols, if required. Contribute to project team communication materials, including journal papers and other non-academic publications. Other duties, as reasonably directed by the supervisor. Proficiency in writing code (ideally Python, R, or Julia) to manipulate, visualise, and understand data and to draw conclusions from it, with an aptitude for continued learning. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with strong planning and task prioritisation skills to meet deadlines, and the flexibility to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate analytical results, produce clear and concise documentation, effectively engage with diverse stakeholders in a research setting, and translate complex data into compelling narratives. A strong willingness to develop research skills, with a keen interest in the energy sector and energy transition. Experience in data collation, quality assurance, manipulation, and interpretation is highly desirable. Familiarity with spatial datasets, GIS software and the energy and/or resources sector is an advantage.
