ResponsibilitiesWe are currently recruiting for an Analyst to join our Financing & Advisory Group based in Sydney, Australia to support the origination and execution activities across a broad range of structured finance transactions, particularly within the Energy & Renewables sector across Australia and New Zealand. The candidate will also work with other business lines within Financing & Advisory such as Infrastructure, Digital, Mining & Metals and Real Estate. This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced, results-focused, global organization that values diversity.Primary responsibilities include:Responsibility for financial modelling in support of advisory mandates, including supporting in the development of bespoke financial models, conducting detailed scenario and sensitivity analysis, tracking relevant documentation and taking the financial model through audit.Interrogating the financial model for lending mandates, review and analysis of the financial model to support the preparation of financial analysis, credit applications and due diligence review;Providing day-to-day transaction support and managing internal processes relating to our business;Structuring and pricing of credit applications;Managing internal processes relating to all arranging and advisory business (e.g. updating databases, memo writing, completing relevant internal system-based processes including all financial data);Identifying potential marketing opportunities and preparing pitch and presentation materials (including reviewing feasibility studies, detailed analysis of financial models, statements, cashflows, etc.);Starting to establish a network of contacts at key clients and prospective clients;Staying abreast of developments in the Energy & Renewables sector as well as current transactions and opportunities in the market;Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment and strong commitment to the core values of Société Générale.Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge Required:University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Business, Commerce, Law)Postgraduate qualifications considered favorablyOne to four years' experience in a similar or related roleExperience within a similar financial institution is highly desirableStrong numerical skills with an advanced understanding of accounting concepts, financial statements and cashflowsFinancial modelling skills are a requirementStrong ability in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office generallyBehavioral Competencies Required:Proven analytical skills as well as exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skillsGood interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly explain complex financial issuesAn ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining a strong attention to detailA capacity to manage multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize tasks as relevantAbility to contribute to the team's efforts to build and maintain trusted client relationships both internal (various support functions and middle/back office teams) and external (clients, industry bodies, government agencies)Experience of working (including remotely) with people with diverse, international backgrounds and acting on team prioritiesFunctional Relationships:Internal: staff from business divisions and support functions locally, regionally and globallyExternal: clients, prospects and external advisors (e.g. lenders, legal counsel, technical consultants)Company Description:Founded by a group of entrepreneurs in 1864 "to promote the development of trade and industry in France", Société Générale is today one of the leading European financial services groups.
