What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Head Chef you'll join our Kitchen Team who pride themselves on providing exceptional service with culinary delights. You’ll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. On a daily basis you will:
4. Undertake general or specialised cooking, baking, pastry cooking or butchering duties, as required to a high standard
5. Monitor the hygiene of food preparation areas and equipment
6. Under the direction of the Head Chef, lead, supervise and mentor your Team
Angouire Resort currently serves a lunch and dinner menu, with dinner at the Cunjevoi Restaurant offering a la Carte delights daily with fresh local seafood and seasonal produce. You'll also play a key role in the many functions and events that take place at our Resort.
What you’ll bring:
7. Significant (minimum 4 years) hands-on experience in kitchen operations with a clear understanding of the logistics of restaurants and functions catering
8. Experience in leading, coaching and mentoring a team
9. Experience working in events and functions
10. A passion for your trade and for creating and presenting contemporary dishes using local produce
11. Demonstrated excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
12. Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with common office applications
13. Formal qualifications in commercial cookery
14. The ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment
15. Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt
16. DoFoodSafely Certificate of completion
17. Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
