We are seeking a talented Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for managing and processing end to end payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. You will also assist in financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable when required, financial reporting, and reconciliations.DutiesManaging the end to end fortnightly payrollCalculating correct employee pay by considering hours worked, split shift allowances, taxes, workcover, superannuation and other factors Processing electronic employee payments on a fortnightly basis Processing holiday, sick, maternity and paternity leave payments Answering employee questions about their timesheets and payslips Processing PAYG deductions and sending payroll information to ATO Obtaining and verifying direct debit banking information, tax file number and Superannuation details from employees Checking timesheets within HumanForce to verify rostered hours and contracted hours are complete Develop and review payroll policies and procedures and ensure they are current and remain fit for purpose. Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports Distribution of fortnightly payslips to employees Onboarding and Offboarding of employees Involvement in new payroll system implementation Ensuring compliance with applicable payroll legislationWorking closely with the finance team to ensure all payroll aspects are compliant with the national law and regulations, including Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards (NES). Having in-depth knowledge of the Childrens Services Award MA000120 Single Touch Payroll (STP) and Payroll tax reporting Superannuation Guarantee compliance and increases applied. Annual leave, Personal Leave and LSL calculations. Workcover compliance in relevant States.
