Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Theatre Orderly | Team Leader to oversee the efficient operation of their theatre support services. The successful candidate will lead a team of orderlies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe and organized environment in the operating theatres. Key Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the theatre orderly team. Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of operating theatres before and after procedures. Assist in the transportation and positioning of patients within the theatre complex. Manage the inventory of surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring timely availability. Collaborate with the surgical team to support smooth and efficient theatre operations. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and hospital policies. Provide training and mentorship to new and existing theatre orderlies. Address and resolve any operational issues promptly and effectively. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices. Qualifications: Previous experience as a Theatre Orderly or similar role within a hospital setting. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Strong understanding of operating theatre protocols and procedures. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy. Basic computer skills and familiarity with hospital management software. Desirable: Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent qualification. First Aid and CPR certification.
