Reporting to the Activity Centre Operations Manager, our Activity & Respite Centre Coordinator is responsible for promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation to our clients. This is done through recreational activities that promote holistic wellbeing. They encourage to maintain the skill level, independence and mobility that they require, along with providing support to their family/carers.
* You will be working with clients across our Fingal Activity Centre
* The position is offered on a part time basis for a six-month contract
What you will be doing!
* Maintains appropriate statistics, administrative records, and reports in a manner consistent with integratedliving standards for client documentation
* Coordinates compliance activities to ensure data integrity and adherence to policy and procedure
* Promoting the retention of existing life skills for people and provide opportunities to enhance these skills through participation in various tasks
* Builds an ongoing relationship with the client that enables ongoing provision of quality service and identification of opportunities to improve service. Supports clients that have difficulty in identifying their own needs or accessing services
* Supports the client and client’s family to work with external organisations and groups that are also engaged in the provision of service.
* Co-ordinates and schedules activities or resources to ensure that service outputs are achieved on time and within budget.
* Supports new and potential clients to access integratedliving services, Activity or Wellness Centres and coordinates service delivery.
What you will need!
* Ability to travel to all day centre sites including reliable and comprehensive insured motor vehicle
* Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure or relevant qualifications of the same level or higher
* Current First Aid + CPR
* Ability to create a supportive and empowering environment for customers and carers
* Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of customers
* Confident in using different forms of technology such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Demonstrated understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of older people and proven customer service orientation
* Experience working with people with dementia is essential
* Current driver’s license (P1 or above)
