An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced?Ophthalmologist?to join our?Ophthalmology Department.
About the Department The Ophthalmology Unit, as part of the Surgery, Anaesthesia & Procedural Medicine Division, is responsible for the provision of services within the specialty to patients across Austin Health.
Primarily located on the Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital site, the Unit is committed to the provision of high quality patient care and maintains an ongoing commitment to Under Graduate and Post Graduate teaching.
Also provided is a consultative service for other units within Austin Health.
To be successful for this role you must: Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Hold a Fellowship of the?Australian Learned College?Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists?or equivalent Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of?Ophthalmology Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum, and Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research.
