About the RoleWe are seeking applications to join our Finance team based at our Glengowrie Depot. The Finance Assistant is vital to our business in providing timely and accurate support to our organisation in maintaining and managing financial, accounting, and administrative records to meet procedural, statutory and corporate requirements of the business. Key responsibilities of the role include (but not limited to): All aspects of Accounts Payable including matching to purchase orders, coding, invoice entry, liaison with requestors and approvers, setting up payment runs, responding to supplier enquiries, reconciliations, reporting, policy and procedures.Supporting the Company Accountant with Financial Management activities such as Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations, month end related tasks and internal financial reporting.Supporting the Finance Manager and Operational Managers with financial administration functions for their business departments.Assist in preparation of monthly/bimonthly management and Board financial reports. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to build good working relationships as a key team member.Analytical ability and work with accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to organise, prioritise and multitask, sometimes under pressure, and always meeting deadlines.Initiative for business improvement and self-direction to work independently. You must have Sound knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles.Intermediate/Advanced user of Microsoft Office (in particular, Excel) and Accounting Software (QuickBooks preferred but not essential)A genuine enjoyment for working and interacting with people.
