Lead Operations for Rural Health
We are seeking an exceptional individual to manage the operations of the Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health in Mount Isa, Queensland.
About the Role:
The Manager of MCRRH Operations will play a crucial role in driving our mission to improve healthcare access and delivery in rural and remote areas. Key responsibilities include:
* Operational Management: Oversee and streamline the center's daily operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation, adherence to policies and procedures, and timely completion of tasks and projects.
* Program Coordination: Collaborate with the MCRRH team to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that address the unique healthcare needs of rural and remote communities.
* Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to the MCRRH team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Financial Management: Manage the center's budget, monitor expenditures, and ensure fiscal responsibility while maximizing resource utilization.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government agencies, Indigenous communities, and academic institutions.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
To excel in this role, you will possess:
* A postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as public health, healthcare administration, finance or operations.
* Proven experience in project management, operations, or healthcare administration, preferably in a rural or remote setting.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
* Demonstrated commitment to promoting equitable access to healthcare and addressing the unique challenges faced by rural and remote communities.
