Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research and provide expert advice on a range of complex tax matters, including tax consolidation, tax treaties, hybrid mismatches, CFCs, withholding taxes, thin capitalization, permanent establishments, and AMITs. Assist in developing comprehensive guidance and calculations for international tax issues. Support clients throughout M&A transactions by providing tax structuring and due diligence services. Represent clients in ATO reviews, governance matters, and audits, including negotiating with the ATO to secure favorable rulings. Undertake research and analysis on complex tax topics, producing detailed tax reports. Prepare accurate and timely company and trust tax returns, including consolidated tax returns, for large corporate clients. Perform tax-effect accounting calculations and reviews. Contribute to business development initiatives and participate in client meetings.
