About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Team Lead – Electrical to join our crucial Defence program.
This exciting opportunity is based at our cutting-edge facility in Woodville North, where you will lead and empower a talented team of engineers, contributing to their growth and success.
As the Hunter Engineering Team Lead, you will work closely with the Program Engineering Manager (PEM) and fellow team leads to provide effective leadership and guidance.
Responsibilities include overseeing engineering activities and artefacts, ensuring successful delivery through the application of engineering processes, resources, and tools.
You will also nurture and develop your team, enhancing capability within the Hunter program and the broader engineering division.
Key responsibilities include leading technical investigations, making decisions based on sound engineering judgment, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within time and cost constraints.
You will drive the production of technical documentation, maintain secure records, and present technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
Expertise in managing product safety, conducting technical risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations throughout the engineering lifecycle is essential.
In this leadership role, you will make multi-domain engineering decisions and drive process improvements that enhance quality and efficiency.
You will be a key player in building sustainable, innovative solutions and supporting the growth of your team, while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering environment.
Requirements
* Australian Citizenship and a Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
* Hold an accredited (under the Washington Accord) Bachelors degree in Engineering
* Relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles
* Previous team management experience
* Strong understanding of the design lifecycle and system integration
* Experience with managing supplier and sub-contractor specification (desired)
* A good understanding applicable engineering toolsets (e.g. PLM or MRP systems, design, simulation and analysis software)
