Associate Director, Marketing and CommunicationsThe Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF) is a Commonwealth Government financier, providing concessional loans for the development of infrastructure projects in northern Australia and the Australian Indian Ocean Territories. If you thrive on bringing people together, crafting compelling stories, and ensuring every message is meticulously crafted and fact-checked, this is your opportunity to shine and make a real impact.Key Responsibilities:At the forefront of NAIF’s communications and marketing engagement efforts, ensuring that our messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful.Digital specialist with considerable understanding and experience of digital and social channels, including how to enhance, analyse, and use paid media to optimise channel performance.Manage the development of collateral and content, overseeing accuracy and securing necessary approvals while mentoring and guiding one direct report.Promote NAIF’s presence at conferences, supporting attendance and sponsorship efforts, and leading the organisation of webinars to highlight NAIF’s expertise.Maintain the NAIF website, ensuring it is up-to-date and working with the Chief Strategic Policy and Engagement Officer on future development strategies.Gather information to support responses to media inquiries and information requests from the Minister’s Office and Federal Government agencies.Provide support to the Stakeholder Relations and Communications Team and the Chief Strategic Policy and Engagement Officer, ensuring the delivery of the Stakeholder Engagement, Communications and Marketing Strategy annually.About You:Considerable understanding and experience of digital and social channels to optimise channel performance.Strong written, communication, and presentation skills to support reporting requirements.Highly organised with the ability to respond and coordinate numerous tasks simultaneously.Excellent research skills to verify and write engaging content relevant for different audiences.A general understanding of the machinery of government and the workings of the Minister’s Office.Sound judgement and strategic insight, combined with a pragmatic approach.Rigorous and disciplined analytical processes with the ability to probe into important details.A high degree of personal trustworthiness, discretion, and integrity.An ability to work under pressure in a fluid and rapidly changing environment.A self-starter who manages own work and prioritises tasks.Ability to cope with ambiguity and a high level of external scrutiny.Ability to respond to urgent public matters outside of usual working hours.Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in marketing and communications with a focus on digital, preferably within the government sector.Desire to work out of either Cairns or Darwin.Our Culture:At NAIF, we are driven by our purpose, values, and commitment to inclusion.
