As the Cook, you will be cooking nutritious meals that will be an important part of children's growth and development.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Prepare afternoon tea snacks (Fruit platter and other nutritious snacks)Discuss menu selections with ELC ChefFood serving for After School Care and Vacation CarePrepare meals for vacation care (Lunch and Afternoon Tea)Maintaining kitchen condition (Cleaning up after serving time)Food preparation for children with special dietary requirementsFood ordering and stock keep-upThe successful candidate must:
Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalentHave sound knowledge of food preparation, nutritional standards, menu planning, food hygiene practices, and kitchen managementHold current First Aid Qualifications (Early Childhood specific)Hold the WWVP cardHave previous experience working in an Early Education and Care service (preferred)Exhibit excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrate a positive, caring attitude and willingness to improveMaintain professional presentationPerks of working with us:
