Our Safeguards service is looking for our newest team member to work in our Liverpool/Fairfield service. Safeguards is a dedicated CAMHS service that provides rapid, mobile and intensive short-term therapy-based intervention to children and adolescents (0- 17) experiencing an acute mental health crisis. This flexible service provides intervention to consumers in their homes, in the community, in schools and in the clinic setting. The aim of the service is to stabilise their acute presentation in order to link them into long-term supports and prevent or shorten hospital admissions. As a Safeguards Senior clinician, you will work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with ICAMHS. We want a clinician who will share their excellent clinical, risk assessment, interpersonal and communication skills. Relevant qualifications as an Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or General Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Additional for nursing: relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the employees specified post-graduate qualification, or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation. Demonstrated experience providing advanced evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service. Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer's families and natural supports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with the NSW Mental Health Act 2007. Demonstrated skills in leadership and clinical supervision, within a multi-disciplinary treatment setting. Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems. Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process. Ability to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
