This role offers the opportunity to develop industry-specific skills, starting with project take-offs and progressing to broader estimation responsibilities under the guidance of our experienced team.Key Responsibilities:Cost Estimation & Take-Offs: Perform take-offs from project drawings and documentation to assist with accurate estimations. Develop detailed cost estimates by analysing specifications, drawings, and requirements to determine labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Assist the salesperson in producing a bill of materials for bids to improve the time taken to quote and ensure accuracy during tendering.Tender & Bid Support: Support the preparation of tenders, proposals, and quotations for electronic security installations. Assist the Install and Sales team with the bid/no-bid process, ensuring alignment with business capabilities.Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for key security components. Develop a subcontractor package for bids to obtain accurate pricing from subcontractors.Technical & Operational Liaison: Work closely with the Install team to ensure feasibility of estimated designs, providing value engineering suggestions to optimise costs without compromising quality or specification compliance. Assist in the Sales to Projects handover process.Documentation: Ensure all estimates and proposals comply with company standards and industry regulations. Maintain accurate records of bids, cost breakdowns, and historical pricing for reference.About YouWe are seeking someone eager to build a career in Electronic Security. While prior industry experience is not required, we will provide on-the-job training and guidance. The key attributes we are looking for include:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and ability to multitask.Ability to communicate effectively across teams, including Sales, Technical, Suppliers, Manufacturers, and End Clients.
