The opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to support the Australian Army CH-47F aircraft. As a key member of the team, you will support the customer in optimising aircraft availability whilst ensuring continuing airworthiness of the aircraft under the Defence Airworthiness Safety Regulations (DASR). The role is based at based at Enoggera, (Gallipoli Barracks), QLD. As a Configuration Management Specialist you will: Develop, implement and maintain the Configuration and Data Management plans, processes and procedures, in accordance with DASR, business and contractual requirements. Manage and maintain the programs product definition and design data, technical baselines, engineering changes, and current approved configuration in the configuration status accounting tool/s. Manage the content and accuracy of Configuration Status Accounting records for the platform. Administer, host and perform the role of secretary for Configuration Control Boards. Prepare and participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required. Lead the continuous improvement of processes for efficiency in accordance with LEAN principles. Implement and maintain the controls necessary for data to meet security, trade control and intellectual property requirements. Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform. Develop training on the programs configuration management systems and provide mentoring to the project team. To be considered for the role you will have: Demonstrated experience in Configuration Management Formal Configuration Management training / certification; Experienced in managing configuration of products in a Product Lifecycle Management system, electronic document management system, or similar; Strong written and oral communication skills; Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
