About the role
Activ’s behaviour support and allied health practitioners are a team of skilled multidisciplinary professionals offering innovative, person-centred, value-based quality therapeutic services to customers. We operate within a hybrid module of working from home and across the WA community.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments tailored to our customers' needs and circumstances. You will develop and implement evidence-based behaviour support plans, overseeing the use and reduction of restrictive practices in alignment with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
This role is offered either full-time or part-time options of 0.7 or 0.8 would be considered to assist in supporting work/life balance.
The ideal candidate will have: -
* Registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS (Proficient level) or eligibility for registration
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in an Allied Health discipline such as Nursing, Psychology, Special Education, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or other related health/community/human services areas.
* Familiarity with NDIS Quality and Safeguarding principles, including behaviour support and restrictive practices.
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
* Experience in facilitating group sessions, training, coaching, and/or mentoring
* Proven track record in delivering strength-based and person-centred services
* A positive, contemporary attitude, and a commitment to maximise quality of life for people with disability.
